Martyna graduated with a first-class degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Liverpool John Moores University. Her final year project involved the design and implementation of a heart rate measuring device based on photoplethysmography (PPG).

After deciding a patent attorney was her chosen career, Martyna joined the industry straight from university in 2017. She began her career in private practice at a leading firm of patent attorneys based in Manchester and joined Bryers in 2022.
